Citrix technologies enhance Dimension Data’s award-winning Next Generation Desktop Solution
Dimension Data, the $4.7 billion global ICT services and solutions provider, has become a Global Systems Integrator Partner for Citrix. The programme places Dimension Data at the highest partnering level in the 49 countries on five continents that it has a direct presence.
Formalising Dimension Data’s status as a Global Systems Integration Partner builds upon existing regional relationships, and makes Dimension Data one of a handful of the most strategic Citrix partners. With over 200 clients and 150 Citrix certified consultants holding more than 700 Citrix certifications, Dimension Data and Citrix have a long history of success.
Bradley Bunch, Dimension Data MEA General Manager for Microsoft Solutions, says that with the consumerisation of IT and devices, it has become increasingly important to be able to support users’ computing demands.
“The days of single-platform device implementations are over. Citrix virtual computing technology empowers users to work from any location, at any time from any device while creating a flexible and secure client computing infrastructure. Our clients are moving to a variety of platforms and devices, working on whatever device they require. Citrix is able to facilitate this requirement by enabling us to deliver these capabilities in either a traditional on-premise or hosted environment incorporating central management facilities,” he says.
Commenting on the global partnership, Dave Jones, Vice President of System Integrator Development at Citrix Systems, said: “Dimension Data’s strong capabilities, global footprint and international client base adds tremendous value to take the Citrix virtualisation, networking and cloud computing offerings to market as part of our portfolio of services and technology solutions. The Group’s consultants are experts in network optimisation, data centre operations, virtualisation and security – all of which are vital elements for a well-designed Citrix environment.”
The partnership will focus on extending Dimension Data’s award-winning Next Generation Desktop solution with market-leading Citrix XenDesktop, to support and manage consumer devices such as iPads, iPhones, tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices within the enterprise.
“Dimension Data has strong relationships with Citrix and Microsoft and will continue to work closely with these partners to enable our clients to maximise their return on investment in virtual computing technologies,” says Bunch.
