Software development company DVT has appointed Quintin Hawes as account manager at the firm’s Cape Town office.
Hawes will be responsible for growing some of DVT’s key existing customers as well as new business development.
“Quintin has more than ten years’ experience in sales, business development and account management in the IT industry in South Africa and the rest of the continent,” says Jacques Fouché, managing director of DVT Cape. “With DVT continuing to experience unprecedented growth, we are focusing on developing strong account management expertise within the business. Quintin’s knowledge and skills will help us to ensure that we continue to identify customer needs and work out how best to meet their requirements.”
Hawes’ primary objective will be to grow the company’s relationship with MIH Group, a subsidiary of the South African media group Naspers. “This is a significant account for DVT and represents many opportunities for the business. We want to forge a strong, long-lasting relationship with the MIH Group. I have also been tasked with growing the DVT account base and looking at new business opportunities.”
Hawes has an honours degree in Geology and is a certified web developer. Prior to joining DVT he was employed by Mimecast South Africa, where he was tasked with breaking new ground for the company in the Eastern Cape and Namibia.
“I am seeking to build a career at DVT,” Hawes says. “The company has an amazing culture and track record and I hope to bring a new flavour to an already vibrant and successful business.”
