ESET South Africa, campaigned #SaferKidsOnline at Westerford High School in Rondebosch, Cape Town, to promote responsible and positive use of the internet.

The campaign aims to speak to educators, students and parents about information sharing, pros and cons of a connected world and to share on raising responsible digital citizens.

Tarryn Kay Trussell (DJ TK) of Good Hope FM, shared her story on how she makes use of the internet to grow her brand and to interact with people, and shared her recommended safe ways of using the internet.

There was engagement with the kids through online communication to explore the school’s advanced technological arena, which highlighted the importance of having a good relationship with an internet protection company.

This campaign has created a platform for conversation with the kids in a time that boasts the need for vital online advice.

ESET is passionate about providing protective tools in the virtual world.

“Proper digital education is vital to making sure kids enjoy the internet safely, with both schools and parents having a role to play.

Taking the time to teach kids about the internet will not only make them safer, but make them better digital citizens in the future,” says Carey van Vlaanderen, CEO of ESET South Africa.
