Brand Africa in co-operation with TNS, the global research group, conducted research into the most admired brands in Sub-Saharan Africa.

LG Electronics (LGESA) was ranked the ninth most admired brand in Sub-Saharan Africa out of a hundred brands. The results show a clear indication of the growth and importance of technology, particularly in the communications sector.

The data was collected in eight countries within Africa by GeoPoll, which has a database of nearly 200 million users in emerging markets.

“We are delighted to be in the Top 10 of the most admired brands in Africa,” commented Thomas van der Linde, LG General Manager Marketing. “By learning from our consumers and listening to their needs, we are giving them what they want and that is what LG is all about,” he continued.
