Network investment is a key focus for Vodacom, for both consumer and enterprise customers, said Vodacom Business Chief Officer Vuyani Jarana.
He added that Vodacom Business will be reinforcing its “battlebox for enterprise” that focuses on network capillarity, speed of delivery, QOS customer experience, innovation and understanding customers’ needs.
Customers are no longer just looking for access, they’re looking for partners to help them succeed, and Jarana believes that this is where Vodacom has an edge.
“We look at where we can deliver value and how we can meet customers’ needs. By delivering services that are applicable to the customer, we have built a strategy to win,” he said.
As part of Vodacom’s plan for network investment, Jarana identified key focus areas:
- Aggressive network rollout
- Handset transformation and smartphone penetration
- Customer focused network improvements
- Fixed network capillary expansion
- Network modernisation and resilience
- IT transformation
M2M is another key growth area that Vodacom Business has identified, having already built capability in some of the key verticals.
Vodacom Business is expanding this M2M rollout into key markets in continental Africa, including Tanzania, Mozambique, Lesotho, Kenya, Nigeria, DRC, Ghana and Zambia.
M2M is one of the top enterprise trends for 2015 as identified by Jarana, with other trends including enterprise mobility (EM), cloud adoption, unified communications, security, digital services and the Internet of Things (IoT).
