The new three6five Academy offers clients courses focused on cybercrime and security, with a specific emphasis on the new South African Cybercrime bill and Protection of Information Act (POPI).

“This is probably the first thoroughbred technology Academy in South Africa,” says attorney and director Corien Vermaak, who will head up the thee6five training division.

“I say this because the three6five Academy has been established by technologists for technologists with trainers who work in the industry. We plan to be a significant role player that contributes to education and quality training in Africa.”

The Academy will offer both short and long courses and is on its way to being SETA accredited. Current course options include Cybercrime Awareness, Cybercrime Bill Overview, and Cybersecurity Fundamentals.

“Our mission at three6five is to provide innovative and pioneering one-stop technology communication solutions,” says Tyrone Carroll, CEO of three6five.

“We believe that the Academy will bring improved diversity and skills into our organisation while ensuring that we can provide our customers with training to further empower themselves.”

The Academy will offer three6five’s client base access to quality training, specifically developed to close the education gaps within the technology industry, and will also give customers the opportunity to white label training, trainers and education drives to assist with training requirements.
