Pinnacle’s exclusive ICT event has kicked off, providing a platform for customers and vendors to meet up and explore what the leading tech brands have to offer in the African market.

At the event, over 200 customers are able to connect with key vendors at both exhibition stands and informative tech talks, including Lenovo, MSI, Microsoft, Supermicro, Huawei, Modrac, Seagate, Dell EMC, HP, Samsung, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Intel, Proline, Logitech, Siemon, and Commscope.

Key themes addressed by the event include digital transformation and connectedness, which bring together information, digital media and people, says Tim Humphreys-Davies, Managing Director of Pinnacle Africa.

“Pinnacle is at the core of connectedness, connecting information to product solutions and enabling partners to make these available to customers,” Humphreys-Davies explains.

“To stay ahead of the exceptional, we need to evolve – and we are evolving from a broad-based business to an enterprise-focused distributor that is aiming to get connectedness in the enterprise space.”

During the welcoming presentation, Humphreys-Davies announced the introduction of Pinnacle’s newest division Pinness, which offers exceptional brands such as Supermicro, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Lenovo, Nutanix, Huawei, Dell EMC, and Alcartel Lucent Enterprise.

“With cross-platform software solutions, including data protection, performance management, analytics, storage solutions, and much more, Piness will be a primary focus area for the next 18 months,” Humphreys-Davies adds.

Piness will compliment other aspects of Pinnacle, including Datanet, Pinnsec, and Modrac.
