Enterprise software veteran Mohamed Cassoojee to lead IFS in South Africa

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces the appointment of Mohamed Cassoojee, an IT veteran with more than three decades of experience, as its new country manager and managing director for South Africa. He will focus on growing IFS’s South African presence in large enterprise accounts as well as expanding its ecosystem of top-tier consulting and implementation partners.

Cassoojee—previously vice-president and country manager of Software AG Africa—brings extensive experience in negotiating multimillion-dollar contracts and leading technology businesses in Africa and North America to his new role. His appointment signals IFS’s confidence in the potential of South Africa’s enterprise software market.

Said Luis Ortega, Managing Director at IFS for Middle East, Africa and South Asia, “We’re delighted to appoint a business leader of Mohamed’s calibre to lead our business in South Africa, a strategic growth market for IFS. His extensive enterprise experience, added to his strong people and customer orientation, mean he is the ideal choice to take IFS to the next level of growth and development in South Africa.”

Cassoojee added, “IFS’s enterprise resource planning, project management and asset management solutions are a perfect fit for South African organisations that are looking for robust applications to enable them to enhance their agility. I see excellent potential for IFS to grow its market share in South Africa, where customers are looking for configurable business solutions that allow them to rapidly realise value.”

The recent launch of IFS ApplicationsTM 10 offers opportunities for IFS to expand its presence in medium and large South African enterprises in sectors such as resources, manufacturing, construction and utilities. “Built to help customers capitalise on disruptive industry trends such as automation, connected devices (IoT), and servitisation, the new version helps companies connect their business to a digital backbone,” he added.

*Cassoojee will attend ‘Connect to What’s Next’ on August 2, 2018 at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton—an event where IFS will showcase the future of technology. IFS’s new global CEO—the visionary Darren Roos—will speak at the event. Register now to attend.
