Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, has announced the appointment of Rebone Seleoane as vice president: Human Resources, responsible for the organisation’s Southern African region. She will report directly to Schneider Electric’s country president for Southern Africa, Eric Leger.
Seleoane has numerous years of experience in field of human resources, which have allowed her to hone skills that include organisational performance & development, rewards management, labour relations, resourcing, and organisational design and change process management.
Her human resources management expertise has been acquired through a career that comprised of job functions such as industry relations- and pay and performance consultant, and human capital- and management solutions consultant, at both leading international and local organisations. Prior to joining Schneider Electric, at the start of January 2015, Seleoane held the positions of people development manager and divisional human resources director at Africa’s leading packaging company, Nampak.
Within her new capacity at Schneider Electric, Seleoane’s focus will be on leading the execution of the full generalist scope of human resources and participating in the organisation’s strategic and operational management programmes. She will also provide support to the company’s countries of operation in southern Africa and ensure full compliance with the relevant operating laws of each country.Seleoane holds post-graduate qualifications in human resources and management obtained from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (then University of Durban-Westville), the University of Johannesburg, and the University of Witwatersrand. “Rebone’s skills will be critical to setting up key people development systems and process to ensure greater efficiency for both organisation and customers.
