Preparing and delivering complex quotes will now become more timeous and efficient for Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa partners and resellers. The value-added distributor’s new Quote Specialist team creates a single point of engagement where resellers can obtain highly specialised quotes on a wide array of integrated technology solutions.

“The delivery of timeous and accurate quotes to customers in the channel value chain is a highly specialised task and one that doesn’t always reach the right people at the right time,” states Andrew Potgieter, director at Westcon-Comstor. “As a single point of contact for specific vendor quotes, the Quote Specialist team will add further value to our internal business practices as well as our partners by providing consistently accurate quotes faster and within predetermined service level agreements.”

Quote Specialist team members receive extensive and ongoing training of the quoting systems as well as the various products within vendor portfolios. This insight enables them to build quotes that not only meet a customer’s requirements, but also give them the confidence to offer more industry-relevant alternatives should customers require it

Furthermore, the Quote Specialist team will according to Potgieter, enable Westcon-Comstor’s sales team to spend more time focussing on customers and vendor portfolios, while offering clients a clear view of cross sell and up sell opportunities that exist.
