On March 22nd, the two-day online event by Informa MENA was officially launched. Being the Gold partner of this event, ZTE shared insights on End-to-End 5G network and released a new 5G Device Brochure for MENA in relation to the theme: Setting the MENA region up for Global 5G Leadership.
Mr. Jason Tu, principal scientist of NFV/SDN products of ZTE delivered a keynote entailing “Distributed 5G Core makes the Vertical Application Adoption Easy and Fast”, where Mr. Tu shared his perspectives on the values of ZTE core network solution and 5G industry applications.
Recently, ZTE reported operating revenue of RMB101.45 billion in 2020, showcasing a year-on-year increase of 11.8%. on 31st December 2020, the company’s R&D spending amounted to RMB14.80 billion with a year-on-year growth of 17.9%, which was 14.6% of operating revenue, 0.8 percentage point higher than that in 2019. According to the latest report “Who is leading the 5G patent race?” published in February by IPlytics, ZTE has been declared as global top 3 for its sustainable leadership in 5G declared Standard-Essential Patents (SEP) to ETSI.
ZTE has been facilitating innovations in MENA region since 1997 and has provided equipment and services. Since, ZTE has a long cooperation history with main-stream operators in MENA, ZTE have established a comprehensive strategic partnership with multinational leading operators in the region. In the 5G field, ZTE has collaborated with operators in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, Libya and other places in MENA to further enhance the global 5G leadership.
